Olive oil is one of the most favored oils in soapmaking. It produces a hard, long-lasting soap that is mild and gentle to the skin. These olive oil soaps are ideal for those who may be sensitive to certain fragrances, or prefer a lightly scented product. They are made with a high percentage of olive oil that has been infused with herbs like lavender & chamomile. These wonderful botanicals provide a light scent, without being overpowering. Olive oil soaps do not contain any synthetic fragrances, but natural essential oils may be added for a touch more scent. It is important to note that although these soaps are listed as 4oz each...most are between 4.5-5oz.
Olive oil soaps are made with 100% vegetable oils and have no artificial coloring or fragrances...only skin-friendly ingredients are used! I don't refer to these soaps as castille (100% olive oil,) because I often add special ingredients like shea or cocoa butter. I think these variations from the old standard, make for an even more luxurious soap!
